Dogbrick (6041) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 21, 2012
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a mostly clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

luttonm (1630) - Belgrade, SERBIA - AUG 7, 2012
Draft. Heavy rich malt body, dark red caramel brown. Alcohol and sour-alt malting, a bit of a mess. Reminiscent of the ’big red’ beer brewed in Serbia, not a great comparison, funky malts, residual sugars and alc bite.

coolpop (1163) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUN 4, 2011
Draft at Magic City Brewfest. Pours a clear amber with a medium-sized off white head. Aroma and flavor were odd. A bit sour with some other off flavors. I’m hoping this was a bad keg. But it didn’t seem so bad as to be a mis-brew. In any case, definitely didn’t strike me as a red ale.

Pours cloudy amber with a lacy off-white head. Aroma of grass and spice. Medium light body, light carbonation. Caramel nut taste with a crisp finish. Surprisingly malty.

Somewhat soapy aroma. This is quite smooth. Not too malty or funky. A nice flavorful irish red.

humulushound (242) - British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 7, 2009
Red-amber and opaque with a minimal white head. Aroma is mild, red fruits, nutty and caramel malt. Taste is scotchy caramel cake, spicy hops and a sweet finish with mild vanilla undertones. Mouthfeel is smooth and pleasing. This ale is nice but could have more in the aroma and flavor.

after4ever (5290) - Brier, Washington, USA - JAN 26, 2009
Draft at Strange Brew. Pours murky medium brown with a dense and creamy tan head. Mild, nutty, bready nose, fair amount of malt sugar but not cloying or sugary. Light, crisp body, with bracing and well-placed carb. Nutty, bready, dry mid-palate. Mild and restrained, but well made and very drinkable.

riversideAK (5413) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 8, 2009
Aroma is pretty malty with noticeable toffee and roast. Pours dark red with little to no head. Flavors of roasted malts, toffee, caramel. No real hop presence. Clean, well done, pleasant.
