Serving: from tap at Mick Kelly’s Irish Pub and Restaurant. Aroma: light malt. Appearance: very small, creamy, light-brown, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-red body. Taste: lightly sweet initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: medium body with dry texture and soft carbonation. Overall: pretty good.

Draft pour. Dark pour for a lighter beer. Very malty yet rich flavor. Very odd aroma which I am having trouble describing. Overall a very drinkable beer but not too memorable.

Dogbrick (8680) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 21, 2012
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a mostly clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Draft. Heavy rich malt body, dark red caramel brown. Alcohol and sour-alt malting, a bit of a mess. Reminiscent of the ’big red’ beer brewed in Serbia, not a great comparison, funky malts, residual sugars and alc bite.

coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUN 4, 2011
Draft at Magic City Brewfest. Pours a clear amber with a medium-sized off white head. Aroma and flavor were odd. A bit sour with some other off flavors. I’m hoping this was a bad keg. But it didn’t seem so bad as to be a mis-brew. In any case, definitely didn’t strike me as a red ale.

Pours cloudy amber with a lacy off-white head. Aroma of grass and spice. Medium light body, light carbonation. Caramel nut taste with a crisp finish. Surprisingly malty.

Somewhat soapy aroma. This is quite smooth. Not too malty or funky. A nice flavorful irish red.

Red-amber and opaque with a minimal white head. Aroma is mild, red fruits, nutty and caramel malt. Taste is scotchy caramel cake, spicy hops and a sweet finish with mild vanilla undertones. Mouthfeel is smooth and pleasing. This ale is nice but could have more in the aroma and flavor.

Reddish brown, small beige head.Carmel nose. Easy drinking carmel malt profile. Good example of the style
