Our second in the Local Hero series is based on Ken Frauenthal’s gold medal version of ESB. Quality Marris Otter malt, floral British Fuggle hops, and Ken’s passion for the style combine to create a smooth, balanced session beer.

3/30/09 On draft at the brewery, Seattle, Wa. Aroma is a lightly seet roast malt forward with a faint, but complimentary hop sourness. Appearance is a hazy copper with a well maintained cream colored head. Flavor is creamy sweet caramel malt forward with medium earthy bittering. Mouthfeel is creamy, full bodied, with a medium carb texture. Overall, quite heavy for the style, but the sweetness offsets it nicely.
