10/16/09 On draft at the taproom. Aroma is all sweet roast forward with faint caramel and a lightly citrus background. Appearance is hazy brown with a well maintained off white head. Flavor is all malt and super smooth, with graham cracker, light chocolate, a touch of cream sweetness and roasty low bittering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carb texture and a suprisingly clean finish. Overall, a very sessionable dark ale that serves as a suitable cereal substitute for breakfast.

draft at naked city. pours a lightly hazed dark brown with ruby at the edges. loose creamy tan head. like a lot of brown ales, the style limits can only take a hedonic rate so far, but this one is made beautifully. nice molasses and light cola nose. creamy medium body with soft carb. chocolate and molasses on the mid palate with a nice soft brown bread finish.
