8/4/09 on draft at the brewpub. Aroma is all peanut butter with a bit of roast character. Appearance is very dark brown with a moderate maintained tan head. Flavor is chocolatey, but more bittersweet than milk chocolate, and with a heavy peanut butter background. Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with a very low carb texture and clean finish. Overall, very cool, an experiment that should be repeated.

Really nice nose of peanut butter, roasted malts, light chocolate, and coffee notes too. Really smells like peanut butter and chocolate/coffee. Pours dark brown more or less black with a thin ring around the edges. More peanut butter in the flavor with some light sweet chocolate, black malts, roast. Lingering light roast/peanut butter flavors. Really solid and interesting. Some warming alcohol as you progress through the beer, but it drinks very well for 11%.

I have waited for this beer for almost one year. Light subtle peanut in the aroma, dark malts and some chocolate comes through. Dark malts and a creamy and chalk like peanut butter flavor comes out. I was surprised and realized this was a one of a kind type brew. It was tasty and worth the wait. I would rank this as one of the top brews for the festival.
