Have had this a few times at Tutta Bell and now at brewery. A present dust maltiness with some generic hoppiness. Typical amber with low bitterness.

On tap. Pours a red copper color with moderate head. Aromas of grass and copper. Flavors of same. Good with pizza otherwise tolerable.

On tap at Big Al, pours a hazy dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and dry hopping. Flavour is pretty ordinary, with dry bready malts and just enough hops to dry this out. Reasonably well-balanced but very boring. Meh.

Amber body with perfect creamy 1" tanned head. Aroma is of easy freshly milled crystal malt caramel sweetness, with pungent spicy floral hops attached to it. Body is a mix of stale hops and fresh grains, washed over by some spent grain tannins.

From a tap at the brewery. The pour is a dark ruby red with a strong aroma even though my sense of smell is weak and I can’t exactly note what it is. Matly, medium body, a little hop kick to it.

Murky brown body with only a faint scum of head on top. Fairly flat aroma with a little citrus and not much else. Tastes better than it looks or smells. You get a classic taste of piney hops balancing against a sweet backing. There’s a surprising roasted presence in the flavor. Indeed goes well with the pizza.

Light caramelly brew with low bitterness. Some toasted nuts in the final.

The beer I had was simply called Big Al Amber. I assume this is the same. Serving: from tap at The Greek House. Aroma: lightly sweet malt. Appearance: small, frothy, off-white initial head with good lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Medium-amber body. Taste: lightly bitter, smokey initial flavor and lightly bitter, nutty finish with short duration. Palate: medium body, watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall: pretty good.

Growler from the brewpub served in a pint glass. Pours dark reddish amber with thin head. Aroma is roasty malt with thin sweetness. Taste is faintly sweet dry biscuity malt with thin bitter hops on the finish. Thick chewy malty finish. Not bad for an amber. Somewhat lacking in hops for a NW beer, but appropriate for the style.
