Growler. Dark toasted biscuit aroma, dollop of caramel. Little pine notes. Dark caramel in the glass, small white head. Hazelnut body, leafy dryness, medium bodied, toes the line nicely. Little hoppy with ample restraint. Good doughy malt backbone. Success. Pizza friendly

On tap at Big Al’s West Seattle. Pours out amber topped with a small head. Aroma is of floral hops, rich malts, and light pine needles. Taste is more of the hops floral, pine, and citrus. This beer covers all the hops notes along with a nice malt back to keep it an amber.

Enjoyed a pitcher on tap at Tutta Bella on Rainier Ave October 2009. Clean, well attenuated and very drinkable, even more so with the charred DOC Neapolitan pizza crust. This is more of a hybrid between an Irish Red Ale and an American Amber. The citrus aroma and flavor hops place it out of the malty Irish red ale range, but the fruitiness/esters from the yeast are not generally found in an American Amber. Great for the unitiated. Pleasing to those who enjoy the nuances of yeast, hops, and malt.

Nose is a little sweet with some toffee, caramel, and toasted/roasted malts. Hops are floral, light citrus, grass, and pepper. A little earthy. Darker amber pour than most ambers, some haze, a nice frothy head that was sticky and lasting. Caramel, toffee, floral and peppery hops are the dominant flavors. Unerlying toast and roast as well as a earth and some light citrus. Very palatable and rather clean in the finish. Very nice with salad, pizza, and even the deserts.

Aroma: Nice malt and hops balance aroma.
Appearance: Amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: Nice malt with a good decent amount of hops added. This was very tasty.
Palate: Dry finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: A very nice brew. I heard this was brewed for a Pizza place called Tutta Bellas this is going to be a great beer for them and there pizza.
