2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Big Al’s West Seattle. Pours out cloudy brown topped with a small head. Aroma was crazy sweet milk chocolate, mint, and malts. Taste was more of the sweet mint and chocolate. I have had one other mint beer on the X Tap at Deschutes a couple years back that was also not so good. Maybe mint and beer is not a good mix for me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy medium brown. Minty chocolate, herbal aroma (maybe juniper?). Chocolatey, minty character in a fairly heavy brew. Decent balance. Reminds me of old Winterfish. Minty accent to a sweet, strong, chocolatey brew.

Big Al - Wintermint
This reminded me of a brewed junior mint. Mint and chocolate flavor and aromas. Dark in color this was pretty easy to drink and had lots of alcohol in the finish.
