12oz bottle. Golden hue, decent head, nice lacing. Aromas are bready and slightly hoppy, some slight citrus. Palate is kind of meak, but plesent. Very smooth, very little hops. Very sessionable, but the price tag isn’t very appealing.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 boxofrane (199) - pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 11, 2011
Bottle. Pours copper with a thick head and lacing. Smells bready with some floral tones. Tastes mildly hoppy with a thick palate. Overall, quite good for a lighter pale ale.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 ronaldtheriot (360) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - NOV 28, 2011
Stoudts American Pale Ale has a medium, egg-shell-colored creamy head and a mostly clear, amber appearance with lots of lacing left down the glass. The aroma is mainly of grapefruit citrus and a hint of malt sweetness and clean water. Taste is of mild, vibrant (as the website says) citrus/grapefruit flavor, with accompanying sweetness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Stoudts American Pale Ale finishes crisp, refreshing, mostly dry, and easy drinking. This is a wonderful pale ale.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 HardingG (45) - Butler, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 4, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2011 An APA. Nothing special but not a dumper. Tough to distinguish this from the many other APA’s out there. Nothing special sticks out. Aroma and appearance are as expected. The scent is hoppy and the appearance a muted gold that lets some light thru. The taste is avg. Again, it is hopped - almost to taste like an IPA. Watery. Palate is strong and carbonation a bit much.Overall, this is another run of the mill APA. Still, the beer remains serviceable. I prefer an EPA (Bass) - and I have had a couple other APA that were better.

A pale golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a herbal malt with smooth floral hops, resinous, not bad. In mouth, a grainy biscuitty malt with floral hops, oily mouthfeel, very nice. Bottle from Potsdam IGA, 2.22$

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Strykzone (2903) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 11, 2011
Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. This is clear and coppery with just a small off white head. A malty tangerine nose indicates West Coast hops. The start is bitter. Tangerines and caramel emerge. This is down the middle for the style and is nice.
