A very well balanced and enjoyable IPA, with a nod to the original heavily hopped English style ale. The result is a spicy and floral hop flavor and aroma balanced with a good malt back bone hinting at fresh biscuit and nuttiness. Brewed using Pale 2 Row, aromatic, and caramel Munich malts. Just the thing for a long Wisconsin weekend.

Really a poorly made ipa. Very little hops and not very bitter. Tastes like a slightly better old style. Smells like one too ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Pours an orange color with head that dissipates quickly. Can taste floral notes but nothing really to speak of about this beer. As average as average gets. ----Hophaze out

Bottle. Pours a clear golden it orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of earthy grains with some musty grass and a hint of resin. Flavor begins with biscuit and earthy grains with grass and a hint of grapefruit.

Not much of an IPA here. It looks okay, golden bodied with a modest white head but loads of lace. The aroma is grainy with a light touch of lemon and zest. That describes the flavor, too, except that there’s a soft lemon rind bitterness. It finishes pretty dry with a quiet bitterness. As an APA, I might have rated it higher.

12oz bottle pours a straw yellow with a nice head and lacing. Aroma is subtle hops and malt. Flavor is mild bitter. Fairly weak IPA.

Pours a cloudy amber with a medium off white head. The aroma is malty and more reserved. It is a little bit nutty, bready, and I honestly can say I find little else. The taste is still dominated by malty impressions, although it is expanded. There is bread, lemon, apple, some pine, and very mild grapefruit. A short aftertaste is lemon. Medium in body, thicker in texture, and there is some soft carbonation. This one really doesn’t do it for me. Dull.

Pours a medium golden orange with mediocre head and lacing. Aroma is pale malts and soapy hops. Mild overall. Somewhat sessionable, with a fruity apple malt that gets a little too sticky and heavy as it lingers, especially for the style. Nothing overtly offensive about it. Safe, muted, mass appeal... meh.

Bottle @ home. Secret Krampus gift from Andy. Orange pour with a soapy white head. Aromas of stale hops, orange, apple, and grass. Really sugary and jammy. Not a good sign... Taste is extremely astringent and bitter, particularly on the finish. Lots of metal, grass, and chalk. Slight orange, a bunch of sugar up front, peach jam, and aspirin. Scroll past.

From a bottle poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Light hoppy favor with a quick finish.

This does better as an APA than an IPA. It is just not quite big or hoppy enough to be called an IPA. This said, it does not matter all that much because it really doesn’t do all that well as an APA anyway. It’s a nice orange color, a bit cloudy w/ a head that leaves behind lots of lace. This is mostly juicy, citric hops w/ a pretty substantial malt backbone. It is sort of nutty and oxidized in a way that doesn’t necessarily seem intentional but also isn’t foul or spoiled seeming. It is just very non-typical for the style and, while it does work reasonably well, I think this beer would be better of w/ a cleaner malt profile. All in all, I find this relatively drinkable and refreshing but I think if I wanted to down more than a couple of these over my long weekend, I’d get sick of it really fast.
