2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This does better as an APA than an IPA. It is just not quite big or hoppy enough to be called an IPA. This said, it does not matter all that much because it really doesnít do all that well as an APA anyway. Itís a nice orange color, a bit cloudy w/ a head that leaves behind lots of lace. This is mostly juicy, citric hops w/ a pretty substantial malt backbone. It is sort of nutty and oxidized in a way that doesnít necessarily seem intentional but also isnít foul or spoiled seeming. It is just very non-typical for the style and, while it does work reasonably well, I think this beer would be better of w/ a cleaner malt profile. All in all, I find this relatively drinkable and refreshing but I think if I wanted to down more than a couple of these over my long weekend, Iíd get sick of it really fast.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
bottle. Golden with small head. Very thin IPA, not sure if itís simply just a lack of malt, but this needs more flavor in a big way.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample at an outdoor beer festival. As far as IPAs go, this one is missing a bit - just barely above average.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced floral hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. Good brew.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Really a poorly made ipa. Very little hops and not very bitter. Tastes like a slightly better old style. Smells like one too ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Flavor is rather light for an IPA, with Piney Hops, Honey and Malty notes with a rather dry resin aftertaste. Itís a good IPA to introduce those new to the style and itís a decent yard beer, but those looking for flavor will be disappointed by this.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a ridiculously large, ten centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, soapy hop pellets, some alcohol and a bit of light apples - not much exciting here. Light to Medium-bodied; Soapy hop flavour with some pellet and nothing full flower about this, with some grassy bite and a bit of a malt kick at the end. Aftertaste shows some alcohol and a hint of grapes and apples, not much hops at all to speak of. Overall, a pretty weak beer, which is too bad, since I had good luck with IPAs from Wisconsin - but not this one. Easily passable, especially if you live away from Wisconsin and only have so many choices to bring back with you. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Three Cellars in Franklin, Wisconsin on 05-September-2012 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 08-January-2013.
