COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our porter is brewed using Pale 2 Row malt with chocolate and aromatic Munich malt to give it some sweet roasted malt notes and flavor. We balanced the malt flavor and aroma with East Kent Golding and Columbus hops additions.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2012 Pours opaque dark brown. Ample head, coffe tinged cream in color, subsides to a lingering lace cap. Coffee with a hint of toffee in the aroma. Clean porter style in taste. Nicely balanced, not too dry, not too toasty, not too bitter - refreshing. Pallette, again clean, medium body, with a faint lingering hop note. Overall, a very drinkable, well crafted. Refreshing and clean (which is odd for a porter). Update - on tap at 3-Lions - pleasant enough, but light and watery for a porter.

Tap at Big Bay. Caramel brown body. Beige head. A pretty boring, sugary offering. While there aren’t any striking off flavors, the whole thing is pretty bland, boring, cheap. Thin schwarz feel.

Bottle. Dark pour with light brown head. Smells of toasted malts and slight coffee. Tastes of same. A little thin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Decent porter, overall pretty light, roasted malts and chocolate make this an easy to drink brew.

Aroma is roasted malts and nuttiness. The flavor is nutty/roasted malts, slightly cloying sweetness and an acidic finish.

(bottle) deep brown, not quite black with tan head. Roast malt aroma. Flavor is toasty malt with an earthy/grassy finish.

This is a standard porter. Roasty, caramel aroma with hint of hay. Sort of woody. Pleasant enough to look at and smell. Brown colored as it should be. Medium sweetness and a light bitter flavor. The body is light with a slick and fizzy finish. Overall a very drinkable and light porter. It won’t knock your socks off, but it’s not bad.

Brown with a decent sized head. Little aroma with roasted grain. Flavor is has lots of grain as well, moderately roasted, but thin on the palate. More a taste you find in a brewpub rather than bottled beer, and it really tastes nothing like a porter. Much more like a brown ale.

February 16, 2013 - bottle shared by BVery. Dark pour with a very white head which I found odd. Aroma was a funky roasted malt. Taste was similar but I also got what appeared to be a rotted egg. Maybe this was as intended and maybe it was skunked, not sure but rating as is.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle. Dark brown pour with a very white head. Awful cheap coffee ground aroma. Palate is moderate at best. Taste is meh. Drain pour.

Clear mahogany with a thin tan head. Aroma smells like the beer is still brewing. Toffee, barley, grains and light coffee. Taste is grainy and acidic with coffee, light roasted malt, dirty socks with an astringent and mildly roasted malt aftertaste. Somewhat cola-like with many faults.
