Tap. This beer surprised me right off, not expecting such a huge beer from this brewery. Malt smelled of moderate roasted, cookie and caramel, moderate flowers and pine for the hops, broth for the yeast, and a touch of dried fruit, like date in the background. Head is small, frothy, off-white with some lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear brown with a red tint. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily, with a soft to lively carbonation and and alcoholic and chewy finish. Deep and rich, this is a very drinkable American Strong Ale.

Draft sample. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex toasted sweet malt, resin hop and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy balanced bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid complex beer.

Draft at brewpub. Red-brown in the glass with an off-white head that left light lace. Caramel aroma with a hint of pine and alcohol. Great pine and caramel blend in the flavor. Medium-full body, smooth, and a medium bitterness.

Oh, potent hops here with a thick caramel river running through them. Sturdy flavor well balanced by a light spiced hops quality. Easy on the palate and mind. Nice. Powerful yet full of finesse.

on tap-pours a tan head that laces and murky brown color. Aroma is pine/resin/citrus-lime, some medium malt. Taste is sweet pine/resin/citrus-lime, herbal hops bite, [cascade, centennial (ctz) & simcoe or Amarillo?]. Backbone of medium malt.

Draft… 4th Annual Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival… Murky amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. Fruity, resiny bouquet. Full-bodied and lightly creamy with laid-back carbonation. Despite a huge caramel backbone, this baby is exceptionally bitter. Lengthy, bittersweet finish. The hop bitterness continues to assault my palate long after all malt sweetness has faded.
