2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught at the brewpub. Reddish amber. Very roasty. Dry with clean, hard mouthfeel and light body. Notes of licorice and orange. Nicely hoppy, but nothing underneath. A well lacquered pint of nothing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 8, 2009 I like this one a lot and almost love it. The aroma is like a cellar where malt is stored with a decent hopping. The appearance is red amber with a small head. The flavor is caramel malt and bitter hops that were not as powerful in the aroma. Thin palate but, overall this one is a winner. In my opinion, it was the best of show FBG 09.
