on draft..medium brown color... very little head... nutty aroma with hint of caramel...taste of raisins, caramel and almonds...fruity finish

Draft sample. Poured cloudy brown color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted leaving good lacing. Good complex, banana, clove, dark fruit and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Good fruit sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish that had a moderate duration. Good soft brew

Draft at brewer. Cloudy light brown pour with a thick foamy white head. Scent is caramel, fruit and yeast. Taste is the same with some dark sugar sweetness.

Draft at brewpub. Brown in the glass with a frothy off-white head that settled out quickly. Sweet aroma of brown sugar, banana, and clove. Light alcohol in the aroma as it warmed. The flavor found caramel, brown sugar, candy, banana, and clove. Medium body and sweet throughout. A great dubbel!

5 oz sample pour at the brewpub in Coral Springs, Florida. Pour is brown ruby, hazy with a smallish tan head. Aroma is light cherry sweetness, along with some clove yeastiness. The taste follows the nose, but is stronger. Mostly its the cherry medicinal sweetness along with the clove yeast. The sweetness cloys a bit in the aftertaste, but is decent enough. Palate is medium bodied, coats the mouth a bit, lowish carbonation. Overall, not a terrible dubbel, but the sweet is not entirely my thing.

Brandyish Candy sugar raisins jump right off with both smell and taste. Green apple twang to finish with a wide flavor spectrum. Oaky vanilla spiced toffee flavor is prominent.

Call me crazy, but I really enjoyed this dubbel when I had it on draft at Big Bear. Poured plum brown with a minimal off-white head. Nose is plum, fruit, raisin, fruit cake, some dates, malt, and more fruit. Flavor is very similar with lingering sweetness and while not the best and most balanced example of the style, it is still muy interesante. Medium body and lingering sweetness. I needed more of this one and the stout.

Has a pretty good flavor of fruit, both fresh and dried. Not too heavy and not too light, just the right balance for a 7.5 ABV.

On tap at TBBG Fest. Poured a red/brown with clean white head. Nose was candy, ripe fruits, bubblegum, pear, cloves and yeast. Flavor was dark fruits, ripe apple, yeast, clove, banana and prunes. I really enjoyed this a lot.

On tap at the brew pub. A brown body with a white head. Aroma had a good bread note mixed with some cloves. Flavor had a decent dried fruit notes and some nice yeasty qualities. Enjoyable.

Enjoyed on-tap at the brewpub in Coral Springs. Way too sweet, though above-average mouthfeel from wheat, yeast. Using hefe ingredients, so getting the cloves, the bananna, cloying. Pepper, corriander, kitchen sink, sugar, some dark fruit.Way too cold, fizzy carbonation
