This IPA is nicely balanced with a moderate dose of bittering hops (IBU 60-70) and crystal malt. A variety of proprietary hops are used to dry hop this beer which produces unique aromas and flavors.

Growler. Very inappropriate smokey aroma and flavor mask most of the IPA character. Did he use peated or rauch malt (bad idea)?! Or just not clean the equipment after the last bourbon stout batch (even worse.) If I close my eyes and pretend I’m in Bamburg, it’s doesn’t taste bad, just not what I expected. Put this one in the smoked malt - IPA catagory.

On tap at the brewery. Clear golden appearance with active carbonation and an off-white head. Aroma of resinous hops, pine, butterscotch, caramel malt, toffee and possibly diacetyl. The flavor adds some grass, light zesty hops with hints of citrus and tropical fruits. Not bad but it ain’t right either.

(Draught) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of grass, soap, caramel, and citrus. Flavor of grass, grapefruit, caramel, bread, florals, and earth with a moderately bitter finish.

Tap. Pours hazy orange with white head. Aroma is extremes caramel, sweet, fruity, tropical. Taste is medium bodied, nice bitterness in the middle with a caramelly backbone, balanced, lingering bitterness. Overall, good.

Sample at the brewery. Comes dark gold with a small white head. Aroma of citrus and malt. Taste is citrus hops, sweet malt, and a bit of smoke. A bit unusual.

on tap-pours awhite head with copper color. Aroma is not right, an off batch, diesel fuel. Gotta try again.

On tap @ brewery. Clear dark gold with a small white head. Aroma of candy sugar, mango, and light citrus tones. Taste was tropical but sugary. Kinda one dimetntional while the malt is too sweet and uninspired. Boring, but drinkable.

On tap @ brewery. Yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Potent, citrusy, earthy hoppy nose. Bready, orange citrusy, grapefruity, pale malty flavor. Pretty decent brew
