On tap @ Big Beaver. Black pour with an off-white head. Really, really watery. Roast, toast, and grass. Slight ash. Flavor is water, roast, and ash. Watery, some bitterness, and cocoa. Kind of bland, at least.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at William Oliverís. Black with a tan head and nice lacing. Roasted malt aroma with coffee and cocoa, mild dark fruits. Similar flavor, pretty smooth feel, light body for a stout with an odd finish. Not too bad.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark brown, almost black in color, with a thin, light brown head. Great aroma of chocolate roasty malts, and sweet vanilla toned bourbon. The taste blew me away. Rich and big chocolate tones, without being too sweet, meld with not-too-harsh bourbon tones, mixing in a little vanilla and finishing sweetly. A fat dessert stout. Itís more complex than Iím letting on, but those are the only discernible flavors. Itís lovely and creamy and layered, and I loved every drop. Not terribly boozy or warm, a plus in my book of spirit-infused stouts.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
On tap @ brewery. Dark brown appearance with a brown head. Light, sweet whiskey and dark roasty, chocolatey malty nose. Somewhat boozy, not all that smooth whiskey flavor over a dark roasty flavor.
