COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Kölsch is a refreshingly pale German style Ale. It is cold fermented and cold conditioned to achieve a beautiful balance between biscuit malt flavors and floral hop notes. It is light bodied and finishes somewhat dry to enhance it's easy drinking nature. Please enjoy our interpretation of this beer of Zümmer! Editor's Note: Renamed Angry Angel Kolsch by the brewer.

APPEARANCE: A straw colored pour with no head and no lacing. AROMA: An earthy, biscuity, and strong floral nose. TASTE: Biscuit and a honey-like sweetness. What a combination! Yum. MOUTHFEEL: Light and effervescent with a dry finish. OVERALL: This was a very tasty and refreshing beer. Would buy & drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Clear golden color with white head. Nice lacing. Has a lingering aftertaste of non hoppy bitterness that sticks to your palate forever. Slight yeast aroma. Not a bad brew on special but not worth drinking again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is very pleasantly fragrant. It’s got a light and crisp flavor to it that makes it a great drink to pair with a heavier meal. Very slightly sour aftertaste, but not in an off-putting way.

Originally reviewed: 5/17/09. This is a style that I know little about, actually, this is my first experience with it. Pours a very pale, clear, light gold with a thin popping white head on top. Pops away to nothing very quickly. No lacing. Smells of corn adjuncts, grain, and hints of honey sweetness. Mouthfeel is poppy and fizzy as well. Pretty high carbonation. Flavor is of roasted grains, and biscuits. Finishes very tame with no lingering aftertaste at all. Slight bitterness, but not much. Drinkability is high, as I could see this being a good summer thirst-quencher. Not bad. I’ll have to check out more of this style. I’m now interested.

Pours a clear, rather wan straw yellow with a typical and not persistent white head. Malty aroma is more hopeful, though, with hints of apple, butterscotch and hops. Flavor is malty with subtle fruity and hoppy notes, nothing special. Texture has below average body and average fizz. Guess this isn’t Big Boss’ best, or maybe my bottle came from a bum batch.

The kolsch style is not one I am well versed in and I do not like light beers.I think it has more flavor then they give credit for.It maybe light for style but not as light as I was expecting.Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head.Aroma is sweet, malty, citrus and a touch of yeast.Starts out malty then a little bitter with a lite hop finsh.Good summer beer would drink again.

Bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours as though someone dropped a tootsie roll in a pale lager. Not much on the nose. A bit of fruitiness on the tongue with a slight touch of copper on the finish. Not my favorite style.

This is pretty close, as american efforts just keep getting better. Light fruity fresh with subtile hops and bitter clean finish. Just a tad light overall but close.

Enjoyable and seems to hit the style pretty well as far as I can tell. Crisp but not harsh, a softer lager. Hops comes through, could have been a little more lively in the glass. Still, nice effort, I could drink this anytime. Thanks jsanda.
