COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Kölsch is a refreshingly pale German style Ale. It is cold fermented and cold conditioned to achieve a beautiful balance between biscuit malt flavors and floral hop notes. It is light bodied and finishes somewhat dry to enhance it's easy drinking nature. Please enjoy our interpretation of this beer of Zümmer! Editor's Note: Renamed Angry Angel Kolsch by the brewer.

Tap at flying saucer Charlotte - Pours straw, decent amount of head. Pretty bland, which seems to be true to style. Meh.

Pours a clear straw gold with a small white head. Some nice lacing on the glass. Subtle flower, grain & fruit aromas. Appropriate for the style, some malts come through as well. Light bodied and easy-drinking w/ avg carb leaving a crisp mouthfeel. A little dry for a kolsch, but that’s nit-picking. Flavors are grains, lemongrass, malt, floral/herbal hops in the middle and some astringent bitterness in the finish. Overall an excellent summer beer, but a little bitter for a kolsch.

Good Cartoon Network-esque label; clear, straw gold. Sweet straw malt aroma. Very crisp, a little corny/sulphury. Light body. Decent. Thanks, LuckyDog.

Bright spicy aroma, golden color, thin white head. A bit of a cheap adjunct flavor, but generally a decent interpretation of the style.

Beerenberger (1567) - Fischer, Texas, USA - JUL 30, 2012
APPEARANCE: A straw colored pour with no head and no lacing. AROMA: An earthy, biscuity, and strong floral nose. TASTE: Biscuit and a honey-like sweetness. What a combination! Yum. MOUTHFEEL: Light and effervescent with a dry finish. OVERALL: This was a very tasty and refreshing beer. Would buy & drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Clear golden color with white head. Nice lacing. Has a lingering aftertaste of non hoppy bitterness that sticks to your palate forever. Slight yeast aroma. Not a bad brew on special but not worth drinking again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is very pleasantly fragrant. It’s got a light and crisp flavor to it that makes it a great drink to pair with a heavier meal. Very slightly sour aftertaste, but not in an off-putting way.

Originally reviewed: 5/17/09. This is a style that I know little about, actually, this is my first experience with it. Pours a very pale, clear, light gold with a thin popping white head on top. Pops away to nothing very quickly. No lacing. Smells of corn adjuncts, grain, and hints of honey sweetness. Mouthfeel is poppy and fizzy as well. Pretty high carbonation. Flavor is of roasted grains, and biscuits. Finishes very tame with no lingering aftertaste at all. Slight bitterness, but not much. Drinkability is high, as I could see this being a good summer thirst-quencher. Not bad. I’ll have to check out more of this style. I’m now interested.
