3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cute name. Cute story. Bad beer. This stuff is boring- watered down, bland and not that exciting in any way, shape or form. If anything, this beer could be sweeter. If you want a good nut beer, Rogue is the only way to go.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Brown beer with a foamy tan head. Roasted grain nose with some brown sugar and nutty tones. Sweet beer with lots of brown sugar, dark toast and some tea flavors. Some dark fruitiness, a hint of spice and some bitter coffee finish it out. Pretty tasty brown.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Boulevard Ales pint glass
From: Trader Joe’s in Ballantyne (Charlotte), N.C.
Price: $1.67 (I think)
Purchased: July 26, 2014
Consumed: July 28, 2014
Poured a dark red, almost mahogany color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki white head that dissipated pretty quick. Minimal lacing on the sides of the glass. Minimal retention on the top. Light bubbles coming up from the bottom.
Smelled caramel, toffee, roasted nuts, chocolate, espresso and some rye.
Tasted roasted nuts, caramel, toffee, chocolate, espresso and hot cocoa.
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish.
Not a bad brown ale overall. It grew on me a bit as it went down.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught. Clear and brown, rather appealing. Bready malt aroma along with resinous hops. Earthy, woody notes in there as well. Flavor is medium bitter with a woody aged type flavor. Very smooth and drinkable. I would drink this again.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap: clear brown, with cereal malty aroma and a little musty sourness. Light feel with definite English malts and a finish almost similar to an ESB. Not bad, nothing special.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours dark, murky brown. No head, just some bubbles in the middle. Smells sweet. Tastes sweet, hard to place. Very mild and drinkable. A very solid beer.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
@ Whole Food Markets / Asheville NC --- Clear brown with a 1" head, sprays of lace. Taste is margarine and malt, not very appealing. Stays with the opening until a lightly bittered finish rounds things out. Very ordinary, not nearly as well done as the common brown ale. Not recommended.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours dark cola brown with visible carbonation at depth and a thick and creamy light tan head. Big lacing. Aroma is biscuits and toasted malts. Taste is sweet chocolate malt into burnt roasted grains. Some notes of buttery caramel and nuts. Pretty well-carbonated. A solid English-style brown ale.
