1/16/14. Draft at Fullsteam. Pours a medium dark copper with a thin head. Mild hop nose. Not too boozy given the ABV. Surprisingly strong malt presence. Drinkable but not very memorable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Ridgewood Wine and Beer, Raleigh. Nicely cloudy dark orange pour, medium carbonation and a slightly translucent body. Big piney nose, bitter and a bit boozy. Mouthfeel is ever so slightly oily, and a bit on the thin side. A bit more fruit in the flavor would have helped, since the sharpness of the hops and booze seems a bit overdone in the taste. But not a bad DIPA overall.

Pint at Tylers Apex. Good aroma, sweet. Citrusy, grapefruit, clean brownish orange color, okbhead and lace. Bittersweet flavor. Medium body, smooth creamy oily mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Good iipa, once again, big boss one offs grab my attention.

Cloudy amber gold with one finger of off white head. Nose is resinous and skunky and piney. Resin/skunky and piney notes in the flavor, sharp alcohol and some peanut hull. Medium body.

Draught. Pours a slightly darker amber color with a moderate white head on it. Nose and taste are both slightly hoppy, but the beer is balanced well to cut the bitterness. Not a bad IIPA.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2013 Tap at beer study. Darker amber orange with sticky webby cream colored lacing. Nose is super fruity, with loads of guava, citrus, tangerine juice in particular, light honey like natural sweetness. Flavor is similar, a bit more resinous, but still lots of tropical notes. A tad abrasive, but the booze is contained veru well. Overall, I am impressed. Probably the best beer I’ve had from this brewery.

Dark copper color nice head with nice lacing. Citrus aroma that tastes like grapefruit. Slight creamy texture that lingers on the palate. Really nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
