muddyfeet (72), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jul 19, 2007 Poured a clear gold that was slightly off-shade with a bit of brown to it. Heavy carbonation. Almost non-existent head. Nose was just some slight malts. Very biscuit flavor with just a slight hop presence. Bit of an off flavor too that came across as tin or aluminum. Not overly complex but nice and simple. Would be a great beer on a hot day. Mouthfeel was light but that metallic flavor was a bit of a turn off.
gotohelunc (400), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Feb 11, 2008 Draft at Outback. The waitress said this was a German Pilsener called Angry Angel, so I don’t know if I had this one or the Angry Angel Kolsh. Whatever it was, it looked pretty much like a Bud...straw yellow, white bubbly head. Nice bit of spice and hops on the nose. Quite tasty for a light pils...bready, hoppy, and touch of lemon. Finishes amazingly smooth for the style with non of that skunky aftertaste you can get with a lot of pils. I’m a fan. ucusty (1309), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Sep 21, 2007 a little more hoppy thanmost pilsner style beers i’ve had. creamy white head with spotty lacing. sweet malt hoppy finish! kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Sep 30, 2007Name: new pilsner
