kassner (429), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 29, 2009 Very nice on tap. Subtle spiced and I would say different from the crowd. The ale quality comes through, refreshing, golden color, modest head, faint pleasant fragrance Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Oct 25, 2009 Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours copper with a white head. Smells of caramel, spicy, earthy. Tastes of pumpkin spice, caramel, pepper, earthy with some bitterness on the finish. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Oct 20, 2009 Deep gold pour with off white head and lace. Huge pumpkin pie spice aroma. Tastes alot like it smells and almost as good. Good medium bodied mouthfeel and nice carbonation. Prometheus (97), Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA Oct 18, 2009 Bottle from Sams in Durham.

Tasted like pumpkin pie in a glass. TheBeerGod (3143), Newport News, Virginia, USA Oct 17, 2009 Draft at WBF Durham. Rusty orange-amber. Short white head. Aroma is delicious! Roasted pumpkin, allspice, cinnamon, clove and brown sugar. Taste is more roasted pumpkin notes, pumpkin pie spices, brown sugar, caramel, and sweet malt. Body is medium with moderate carbonation. Ends with more pumpkin pie, moderate spices, caramel, and roasted pumpkin hints. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Oct 16, 2009 Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with faint traces ow wispy khaki head. Nose is a good delicate blend of nutmeg, allspice, coriander, and other pumpkin pie spices. The flavor follows suit very closely and adds hints of lavender and brown sugar. Medium body with a clean, not cloying finish. Very enjoyable pumpkin beer. And kick ass label to boot! NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Oct 13, 2009 12 oz. bottled in August ’09. Pours a hazy brown/red with a good head. This smells great. Cinnamon, pumpkin, and it is not perfumey or overly sweet. The flavor is smooth and clean. Lots of pumpkin and adequate spices are present without being cloying. This is a rare example of how a pumpkin ale should be done. It focuses on pumpkin and has a decent blend of spices without being a cinnamon bomb or tasting like soda. This is almost as good as Cottonwood’s pumpkin ale. brewski519 (395), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA Sep 25, 2009 On tap at Tyler’s Tap Room in Durham NC - pours a hazy orange with a thin head. Aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg. Taste of pumpkin, spices and malt. One of the better pumpkin ales I have had in a while but still not one of my favorite styles.
