Orange copper pour with very minimal head. Aroma is impressively spicy, with loads of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and a touch of caramel malt. Flavor holds much of the same spice, but in a creamer form, much like a pumpkin puree. This would clearly go beautifully with a nice homemade pumpkin pie. Palate is medium bodied, and the spice adds a nice crisp touch to the finish. Solid brew for the style.

Trade bonus. Lightly hazy orange/copper in color with a small head. Aroma is spicy, lots of pumpkin spice- the usual nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger. clean aroma. Taste is spicy and lightly sweet, a nice toasted malt/caramel backbone with nice, fresh pumpkin flavor. Overall medium bodied, a touch of bitterness in the finish. The texture/palate is good- a good holiday ale.

A nice seasonal ale bonused to me in a trade with Ucusty. Thanks David! It pours amber with a disappearing off white head. The aroma instantly makes me crave pumpkin pie like right now. Nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, (I know, redundant) The flavor is spicy and sweet. Nice balance. This is a good seasonal, much better than an Octoberfest. Obviously, this would pair well with a certain fall dessert.

Very nice on tap. Subtle spiced and I would say different from the crowd. The ale quality comes through, refreshing, golden color, modest head, faint pleasant fragrance

Draft at WBF Durham. Rusty orange-amber. Short white head. Aroma is delicious! Roasted pumpkin, allspice, cinnamon, clove and brown sugar. Taste is more roasted pumpkin notes, pumpkin pie spices, brown sugar, caramel, and sweet malt. Body is medium with moderate carbonation. Ends with more pumpkin pie, moderate spices, caramel, and roasted pumpkin hints.

Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with faint traces ow wispy khaki head. Nose is a good delicate blend of nutmeg, allspice, coriander, and other pumpkin pie spices. The flavor follows suit very closely and adds hints of lavender and brown sugar. Medium body with a clean, not cloying finish. Very enjoyable pumpkin beer. And kick ass label to boot!

12 oz. bottled in August ’09. Pours a hazy brown/red with a good head. This smells great. Cinnamon, pumpkin, and it is not perfumey or overly sweet. The flavor is smooth and clean. Lots of pumpkin and adequate spices are present without being cloying. This is a rare example of how a pumpkin ale should be done. It focuses on pumpkin and has a decent blend of spices without being a cinnamon bomb or tasting like soda. This is almost as good as Cottonwood’s pumpkin ale.
