On draught at the High Country Beer Fest, it pours a deep amber, with a retentive 3-finger head, saturating the glass with lace. The nose has some sweet malt and light pumpkin. Flavors of pumpkin, pale malts, and pie spices. The spices continue to make for a drier finish. The mouthfeel is smooth with a creamy texture. Nice overall pumpkin brew.

Pours orange with a slight white head. Great flavors of spice and pumpkin and smells just like a pumpkin pie. My favorite of this variety.

Sample from Durham World Beer Fest. Orange pour with average off-white head. My impression was "just like every other pumpkin beer." Really not bad, but thoroughly average, and this is a style I don’t love.

Courtesy of walleye. Oct ’06. Transparent copper, decent head. Nice clove and pumpkin balance throughout the aroma and flavor. More spice in the flavor, maybe nutmeg? Spice dries out the finish. Tasty for a pumpkin brew.

On tap at WBF in Durham, NC. Pours deep orange with a thick tan head. Nose is full with nutmeg, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie filling. Flavor is full, without being over the top. Spices and pumpkin go hand in hand as kp says. Dry finish. Pretty darn good.

bottle thanks to thaichile...pours brownish-orange with average head that quickly disappears, aroma is of cinnamon & clove...taste is fairly malty with the pumpkin pie seasonings. Dry finish, I’m actually a fan of pumpkin beers and enjoyed this more than the average pumpkin brew!

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber brown with virtually no head. Aroma of spiced pumpkin; allspice, cinnamon, cloves. Flavor of...spiced pumpkin, as above. Finishes with...spiced pumpkin. Both is not too bad at all, decent thickness (2% milk). This is probably the pumpkinest pumpkin ale I’ve ever had. If you like pumpkin pie, you are set.
