Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear copper color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy spicy tart pumpkin aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice and pumpkin sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good seasonal beer.

A: The beer pours a cloudy brown color with just a small off-white head. S: It’s slightly acidic on the nose before the spices come into play. Plenty of cinnamon and nutmeg, perhaps a hint of vanilla. There are some definite green apple and apple cider notes along with a light bread aroma. T: Starts off with sweet malt and bread notes. Some good spiciness of nutmeg and cinnamon. There is a mild toasted malt flavor as well as some hints of fruits and a light tartness. M: Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. O: Reminiscent of my failed/infected pumpkin homebrew a couple years ago.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with a small white head over a hazy golden body. Aroma is ginger and pumpkin pie spices. Taste is spices, dryness, ginger, light coriander and cinnamon. Fizzy and a bit dry. Not bad.

DocLock (7502) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2005
Pours hazy dark orangish copper with off-white head. The aroma is pumpkin puree and spices with some caramel malt. The flavor is malty, on the dry side for this style, with a good dose of pumpkin puree and spice flavors. The palate is medium and smooth, but not terribly complex.

CaptainCougar (7129) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - OCT 26, 2006
Bottle thanks to OldGrowth: Pours a transparent copper bronze with a thin, but frothy and spotty-lacing white head. Has a sugary sweet caramel pumpkin nose and some pleasant cinnamon spice. Body starts with a mild malty sweetness, some toasted grains, and an earthy spice presence before a slightly more bitter dry finish. A pretty decent pumpkin brew.

Bottle:   Dark amber, fairly hazy, thin sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Spicy nose, cinnamon and nutmeg.   WHOA, very spicy up front, all-spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup and a whole bunch of honeycomb like cereal.   Has a little dryness and powdery aspect.   Honeycomb cereal comes out more as it warms.   Flavors fall of somewhat quickly.   However, more spiced than most.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Fairly decent, but not a big fan of that honeycomb like cereal flavor.   Overall its a bit more flavorful and heavier than most.
