3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz Bottle. The pour was a clear medium burnt orange with an average (1-2 finger) white fizzy head that was mostly diminishing, reducing to a light film and small collar with fair spotty lacing.
The aroma was of a light bread malt and a mild doughy yeast with notes of pumpkin, nutmeg, brown sugar, clove and a bit of cinnamon.
The taste was sort of thin with a light brown sugar sweetness and a malty pumpkin flavor early on, then became infused with a mild dose of spices and had a slight astringent taste towards the finish. The flavor was short lived, fading almost immediately after the swallow and leaving nothing behind.
Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a lively carbonation.
Overall this was like drinking a “Light” Pumpkin Ale, if there is such a thing. It did however possess a decent drinkability and a nice refreshing taste...

Bottle split with my wife. Pours a hazed amber orange with a medium sized white head. Spices on the nose, malt, a bit of paper. Medium-bodied, soft malt into spices. A hint of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg. Gentle finish with a touch of warming alcohol. Decent.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle.
Pours with a copper colored body topped by a durable off-white head.
Aroma: an over-spiced pumpkin ale?
Flavor: the spicing is neither subtle nor over-powering, although the spices are what linger on in the aftertaste and are stronger than I prefer.
Medium body and medium-high carbonation.
Overall: recommended for fans of spiced pumpkin ales.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
It pours light amber with an off white head. It has aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, herbs, some bread, and nutmeg. It has a strong pumpkin flavor with herbs, floral elements, cinnamon, nutmeg, and other spices. It has a light moderate feel, with a slight bitter sweet kick on the palate and a semi dry finish.

The best pumpkin beer I have had this year. pours a nice amber with a decent head, but was a bit cloudy. Aroma was that of autumn spices taste was just right no excessive pumpkin flavor but rather a nice mix of pumpkin and spices. Finished a bit too quickly.

Tap @ Raleigh Times: Super cinnamon and clove spice aroma. Sweet pumpkin pie and maybe some pumpkin lotion in your mouth. Ok.

Pint on tap. Clear copper with a small head. Nose of mild pie spices. Tastes of light pie spices, dry grass, squash and caramel apple. Near-medium body has a nice balance and a smooth medium carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy orange, with a small, bubbly, beige head. The aroma is caramel, pumpkin, strong cloves, juniper, and some herbal notes. The flavor is sweet up front, with a strong, acrid bitterness and metallic twang. Medium to heavy body, acidic, harsh, and flat. Overall, this is an abusive pumpkin ale. The pumpkin is present, especially in the initial nose, but the flavor is surprisingly unpleasant. Thanks for mentioning it, Lutz2jm. It does improve as it warms, into something considerably more mellow and approachable.

One of my favorite pumpkin beers! Out of a bottle pours a cloudy light brown with a small white head. Not much lace. Flavor is cinnamon and nutmeg and no clove. Gets better as the beer hits room temp. Great beer for the fall!
