COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This style originated in Belgium to compete with the pilsners from Czechoslovakia, Germany, and Poland. It is a fruity ale with very strong carbonation, with complex, spicy flavors like cloves.

A nice rocky head would be nice... But there was no head which makes it visually unappealing. Aroma of bread, fruity Belgian esters, a little banana, slight spice Could use a touch more carbonation, this description of strong carbonation is odd. Finish is dry with anticipation for another sip. Overall not bad at all, this beer should have a better rating. I find it very enjoyable, although I’m not swirling my beer around to get aroma to avoid loosing any more co2. Would buy again

Draft. Poured hazy gold with off white moderate head. Sweet nose of honey, malt, wheat, and some fruit. Flavor follows very closely to the aroma with a spice dry finish. Medium bodied with descent carbonation.

Bottle bonus thanks to fehrminator on BA! Hazy pale yellow pour, almost no carbonation and an aroma of funky apricots. Flavor is bitter peach, sugar, and um, kind of a bitter sour mess. Perhaps this is a bad bottle, or just not my cup to tea(or beer).

Very murky, piss yellow in color with a generous two-finger white head. Aroma is full of banana esters. Belgium yeast flavor with not much bitterness. Hints of bananas in the taste. Medium mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2011 Bottle. Poured a hazy amber in color with virtually no head just a thin layer floating on top that did not stick around too long and had extremely poor lacing. The aroma was very mild of a hay like malt, citrus hops and a moldy yeast with hints of fruit (peaches I think). It tasted moderately bitter with a light fruity flavor from the beginning to end and had a mild hoppy pungent flavor at the finish that only lasted for a very short duration. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and watery and dry in texture with a super mild carbonation. Overall the beer was a tasty brew, it’s just that I expected more from a Belgian brew

Bottle. Fruity nose with a flat belgian ale body and little flavor left on the palate. Not that great but not bad. Lacks substance.

Bottle from my Secret Santa. Thanks Santa! Pours golden with some small traces of head. Flavor is peachy, some yeast and a bit of grain. Peach and citrus flavor. Some sweet malt. Nothing terribly special but a pretty decent example of an American take on a Belgian beer.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thick white head. The aroma has notes of malt, wheaty, peaches, and some spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of wheat and peaches, leading to a dry, spicy finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Deep gold with a white head and lace. Light Belgian yeast and bread on the aroma. Light lemon, bread, and yeast on the flavor. Good carbonation from a medium bodied beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow-amber with a thin white head. Aroma has some sweetness and citrus. Not very carbonated with a light feel. Slightly sweet and some hints of citrus in there. No real alcohol taste for a 7% beer. Drinkable but not really a standout.
