3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 LtDan (1676) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - NOV 24, 2012Appearance: Pours a very clear amber gold with visibile rising bubbles in the body. A pin stripe of white goes around the top.
Aroma: A bouquet of piney, grassy and perfume hop oil off the bat. Sweet malt and fruitiness.
Taste: A sandwich of agressive resinous hops, sweet and biscuity malt and fruit cocktail in the middle, with a long sturdy bitter finish. Maybe some rye malt as well?
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, medium peppery carbonation.
Overall: Solid and beautifully bitter. Not my kind of IPA, but still satisfying as it is.

Thanks to Frank for the bottle. Aroma was citrusy hops, lemon and grapefruit. Amber appearance. Flavor was the same citrus in the nose. Balanced by the malt, which came through a little. Finished extra dry. Very refreshing and easy to drink.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 KajII (705) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - DEC 29, 2012
12oz Bottle. The pour was a murky burnt orange with an average (1-2 finger) white frothy head that slowly diminished, reducing to a medium puddled film and medium collar with very good sheets of lacing.
The aroma was of a grain malt, floral and grassy hops and a soapy yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit and orange peel) and a light fruity ester (pineapple I believe).
The taste was lightly malty-sweet with a touch of caramel and a good fruity presence from the start, progressing into a slightly bitter hoppy taste with a hint of grapefruit and a seriously bitter citrus peel ending. The flavor lingered on the taste buds for a good long while, with the bitter citrus peel taste hitting you right in the back of the throat.
Mouthfeel was a few steps beyond light in body and dry in texture with a solid medium carbonation.
Overall this is a nice fruity, bitter IPA that I found to be balanced very well, making it a smooth and easy to drink brew...

Deep golden color out of the bottle with a thin off white head. Hoppy nose with lots of resin and grassy notes. The flavors continue the hop dominance with lots of grass, bitter grapefruit and resin. Enough of a malt balance the hops, but just barely. Long grassy hop finish.

From tap. Poured orange with a little haze. Small white head. Aroma was bready with a grapefruit hop wallop. Taste piney, fruity hops with a biscuit malt backbone. Slight stall taste, but I’ll error on the side of the keg date. Will try again to verify.
