2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hm, well if it says it has Brett in it, maybe I should cellar one for a year. My bottle didn’t really even hint at it. Slightly pinkish clear gold pour with a fair enough white head. Nose shows a nice enough sweet raspberry and slightly floral nose, but not much else. Taste is sweet, grainy, and more faintly berry tinged than fully "framboise." At least it was cheap.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle. Pink golden with small head. Reminds me a bit of Goose Island’s Sofie with some raspberry flavor added. Lightly tart and reasonable flavor. Clearly, I’m in the minority on this one.

Bottle from Brusin Ales. Pours golden with a thin white head. Leaves a little lacing. Nice raspberry on the nose. Unfortunately there’s not a ton of flavor on the tongue. Does have a smidge of tartness on the finish. Eh?

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours from the bottle with a welcoming orange-amber color, but there is only a thin, fizzy head that quickly settles to little more than a ring of eggshell-white foam. The aroma is predominately a dull musty/herbal character with a bit of tart yeast, but barely any of the fruit I had expected. The flavor is initially dry biscuity malts, again with only a little bit of berry sweetness, and a lasting, sharp yeasty tang takes over in the finish. The flavor profile comes across very much like a dry Belgian blonde, with the tiny bit of fruit being the only difference. The low carbonation fails to lift the dry, dull flavors. Overall, contrary to the promises of the label, this beer was not so refreshing, the raspberries were hard to identify, and the yeast component was quite assertive rather than alluring.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Sampled from a bottle from Sam’s Quick Stop. Near clear dull golden pour with minimal almost white head. Smells and tastes only faintly of raspberries, and while the aroma seems more authentic, the flavor is very medicinal and astringent. Tastes like bandaids and rubbing alcohol even though it only has 4.3% abv. Not very good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 ounce bottle from Brawley’s Beverage. 400th NC rating! Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a thin fizzy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of tart berries and faint caramel malts. The taste is tart berries, soapy notes, faint toasted malts. Thin-medium bodied. Meh.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Tyler’s, Raleigh. Woof, this is a pretty dismal offering from Big Boss. So perhaps a kind of "small beer" from the runnings of something else? I don’t know but it was thin, watery, and pretty weak on the fruit additions. Pale lager with fruit syrup, or at least damn close to it. Expected better from these folks.

2.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
The aroma is wonderfully sweet, with lots of raspberry and hints of grain alcohol. It pours pale gold with a hint of pink and little to head/lacing. Unfortunately it doesn?t taste as good as it smells. The tartness of raspberries is present without the sweetness which results in a less than pleasant effect. There?s also a medicinal quality that is off putting and I don?t get any of that great Brett funk. The carbonation level is nice. If this beer tasted better it would be an easy drinker.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
his is a pretty simplistic fruit beer. It’s not over the top or too fruity, but it is a bit too bitter. There isn’t much here to impress, but if you enjoy fruit beers, this is probably worth trying.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Raspberry aroma. No head clear light copper color. Not a framboise not a sour not your typical beer. It's like a pilsner mated with a framboise and this is the mutant offspring. It is refreshing and aromatic and carbonated.
