An amber ale formulated as a transitional flavor between lighter and darker beers. Antler Ale has a light amber color while maintaining a mild, clean flavor and a low hopping rate. A very smooth, satisfying beer.

Sampled draught at Big Buck, Grapevine, Texas.
Amber coloured. Lightly roasty. Sweet and light bodied. Soapy grapefruit hoppiness. Uninspired.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy amber color. Both the aroma and the flavor show some sugar, and of course some caramel taste; the mouthfeel is quite dry, because of the medium-high bitterness. Simple.

5 oz draught sample at the Gaylord, MI location, July 2006. Pale amber with a small retained head, quite clear....biscuity nose with lots of diacetyl, a bit of dry woody something shows up for some interest after awhile....buttery/creamy body, moderately sweet, rather syrupy with too-low carbonation...thick and rather messy; no more please.
