Aggie80 (700), Michigan, USA Aug 4, 2002 Good head and lace, of the ten beer sampler, this one was the best in my opinion. The Amber color and crisp flavor went well with the prime rib. The smoothness and low hops allow me to say that this will be my first choice on my next visit. Andrew196 (1089), Anaheim Hills, California, USA May 27, 2002 Good beer. Nice golden straw color, smooth, very refreshing, medium bodied...more hops would have been nice. ilovedarkbeer (937), Dallas, Texas, USA Apr 20, 2008 Nice lacing and head retention on this one. Copper body and a nose of something sweet, fruity (grapes), and malt. Taste is sweet and slightly bitter. It is nice to see an amber ale that does not rely on hops as its backbone. Actually quite nice and drinkable. Kevin (1819), Colorado, USA Jun 24, 2004 light ruby red in color with no head and not much aroma to speak of. has berry malt taste with a bitter astingent finish. this is a beer with taste that doesn’t play around, starts out bold and sweet and finishes strong. Aurelius (2547), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 1, 2003 Medium hopping, dry and a little figgy, going moderately acidic and citric. No aroma. Clean drinking and a good food complement. Medium body, quick finish.
