polomagnifico (940) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - SEP 1, 2007
On tap at brewery. Aroma was weak but earthy sweet with floral notes. Light/Med gold body. Decent sweet malt/yeast flavor. It’s an ok brew but not special in any way.

Silphium (2718) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JUL 21, 2007
On tap at the Gaylord, MI location. Clear straw body, light, thin off-white head. Light floral nose with some sweetness. Sweetened breads in the body, with bitter grassy hops balance. A bit honeyish. Quaffable, OK.

5 oz draught sample at the Gaylord, MI location, July 2006; mine was listed as "Bavarian Helles", I assume it’s the same thing my worthy Montreal colleague had. Pale gold with a small head, lighty bubbly....sweet, grainy, lightly floral (dogwood) hoppy aroma, hints of caramel and vanilla, just keeps getting more aromatic and delightful as it warms....crisp, melt-in-your mouth palate if that makes sense (doesn’t while I read it but did while I drank it), moderately sweet with just a touch of banana-bread doughiness, nice dry German hops emerage at the finish....delicate yet very full, a delight.

tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 2, 2005
Grainy, husky aroma - seems under-fermented and worty. Clear golden body with low cream coloured head that recedes to ring. Grainy, worty, under-fermented, sweet flavour with some mild bitterness. Light body with prickly carbonation. Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival 2005.
