2008 MiBGF: Very dark brown with a creamy tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted and bready malts, walnut, chocolate, vanilla and a hint of fig esters. The taste start sweet and malty with chocolate and toasty tones before leading off towards a twangy and lactic center of prune and anise. Dry chalky and ashy finish. The mouth feel is smooth and soft. Otay, nothing I have not had before.

On tap at the Gaylord, MI location. Opaque dark brown body, thin tan head. Sweet chocolate nose with subtle roasted malts. Body of milk chocolate, toast, and hints of dark fruit. Not bad.
