The aroma is not real strong, a little malty. The taste has some fruity hoppiness to it that is immediately noticeable though. Thin finish, but the fruitiness fights the malts there. An odd combination that I’m not convinced was necessary; my wife likes it though.

Draft at the brewpub. Reddish amber pour, with a small off-white head. Caramel malt, light bread, nuttiness, sweetness, and some grassy hops in the finish. Too light for my liking, but it is well balanced

Had it at on tap at the brewery. Aroma isn’t offensive but it doesn’t stand out at all. Got notes of bread, soft flowery hops, and light caramel hops. Look of it is a clear amber color but hard to tell in the dark bar area. Creamy mouthfeel with a slight hop aftertaste balanced by the malts on the front. Didn’t really get too much else. Not a great beer but is probably the 2nd best beer there.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with an amber-chestnut brown body. Minimal white head. Aroma of bread, nutty, caramel and serious second hand smoke filling my lungs with each sniff. Taste is pretty weak. Sweet, bread like notes. Basic. Fizzy and watery.

what’s the point? it hides the sugary feel of the red and brings out the hops of the pale. it’s better than the red but worse than the pale...6/3/6/3/13/3.1

Sampler at Big Dogs Brewing, Las Vegas. Pours amber, white head. Aroma of pine hops. Taste, well balanced hops and malts, between the pale ale, and the Red version, just not as good.

Sample at brew pub. Malty sweet aroma decent on the nose. Amber body with off white head. Had enough fruit and bitter to hold back the sweet malts. Good refreshment.

Deep brown pour with hints of red. Creamy white head and lace. Toasted malt with a dry finish. Foamy medium bodied beer. Unusual in a good way.

Draught at the brewpub in Rancho Drive
Amber color. Quite good Amber Ale, with round caramel flavor and a strong earthy character.
