RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Feb 5, 2006 Growler at KP"s Cellar. Pours hazy medium orange with a thin offwhite head. Cat pee hop aroma and flavor. Too malty. Less then average IPA.
Wasatch (259), Layton, Utah, USA Oct 25, 2008 Got this one from my buddy Dave from Las Vegas.
Pours a very nice dark golden yellow color, very nice carbonation, a very nice two-finger plus creamy/foamy white head, which does leave some nice sticky lacing afterwards. The nose is big on hops, lots of nice citrus and pines, with some caramel notes. The taste is slightly sweet, hoppy, very nice touch of citrus/pines/caramel. Medium body. The finish is bitter and slighlty dry. Very drinkable, this is my second brew from Big Dog’s and both have been awesome. I still have another brew/growler.
mjg74 (1886), La Mesa, California, USA Apr 20, 2008 Updated: Oct 15, 2008Tap at cafe. Medium golden in color upon pouring. Bitter citric aroma. Grapefruit flavored hoppiness. A little bit of pine needles. This is a decent IPA. Dogbrick (2427), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 17, 2008 Sample at Chicago Brewing Co (they were out of their IPA, sampled at Big Dog’s later that day). This beer pours a clear yellow-amber color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and hops. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with pine and citrus hops flavors, plus a touch of malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering grapefruit and hops aftertaste. Decent overall. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA Jan 13, 2008 12-01-07 tap at brewery <br />
No real powerful aroma - hint of hops but that is it. Hoppy decent flavor. Light pale yellow thin pour. Watery texture. Just average - but not horrible. Flavor is hoppy and not too soapy. Overall, not bad. jcwattsrugger (4272), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 10, 2008 on tap-pours an off white head that laces and yellow/gold color. Aroma is citrus hops. Taste is bitter citrus hops-lemon/pine, secondary light malt-some caramel sweetness. OK carbonation.
