If you like your beer very strong and very hoppy, then this brew is for you! I.P.A.'s were originally brewed in London and shipped to British troops stationed in India.

Growler from Khoury’s Liquors in Las Vegas. Not usually excited about local brews, but this is a very drinkable IPA. Darker than Gold, but still lighter than most IPA’s I favor, and suprisingly tasty. Citrusy [grapefruit], nice after taste. Not bold, at all. But, I’ll have no problem finishing this growler.

Sampled at the Brew’s Best Beer Fest on my trip to Vegas. Slightly hazy golden colour with a small head and medium lacing. The hop is nicely blended with the malt grain aromas. The taste is decent with a medium hoppy bitterness. Well-balanced overall and an easy-drinking IPA.

Growler. Rating #43. Dark gold, light amber color with a decent white head. Light aroma, citrus notes shining through. Flavor us a bit more intense, more citrus, grapefruit. Pretty nice drinker. (1841)

Draft at the brewpub. Clear medium dark gold, white head. Grapefruit, bitter hops, slightly sweet malts, and light tropical fruit. A nice drinkable IPA, probably one of this brewery’s best, but not excellent for the style.

I’m not an IPA fan so this beer actually was given a higher score then I would normally give. Light amber coloring was hazy with small head. Aroma and finish and everything else was like eating Cascade and Centennial hops from the plant. IPA lovers should be happy with this beer.

GLBN IPA Challenge 2011, another winner from Big Dogs. Nice agressive hop flavor, little hop harshness inthe finish. Correct dose of malts to ever so lightly cut into the hop burn. Big IPA with big hop flavor. Nice one

Sampler at Big Dog’s Brewery. This was the highlight of the day! Huge hops in the nose and massive grapefrui throughout the sip. Bitter through and through. Nice.

Poured a dark gold color with a small head. Aroma of fruit, grapefruit, caramel, bread and sugar. Flavor had a nice sugary hop mix. Not bursting with flavor, but nice.

Big Dog’s Dirty Dog IPA is a crystal clear and lively orange-golden ale with a big, frothy white head that’s very persistent and leaves nice lacing on the glass. A huge, citrusy aroma fills the room with orange and grapefruit smells upon pouring it. It’s a very resiny aroma when it’s up close. It has a super smooth medium body and it leaves the mouth a little oily. There’s plenty of bitterness but, moreover, plenty of hop flavor. Orange, grapefruit and pine dominate the taste. There is a touch of sweetness that’s probably from the malt, but it may be an illusion caused by the candy-like hops. There is a long, bitter aftertaste that continues the resiny, citrus flavor. Wow. This is a bang-up American IPA!

On tap. One of their better beers. Clear amber golden body with a white head. Pine and slightly herbaceous aroma with some tropical fruits as well. Taste is tropical fruits, citrus and light table sugar. Medium bodied, well attenuated finish.
