On tap at Freakin Frog. Pours clear amber with a creamy eggshell head. Aroma is big malts, bread. Very malt forward with a touch of bitterness. Very reminiscent of Fat Tire. Not bad, but a style I don’t like much.

Appearance was reddish amber with diminishing 1 finger head, no lacing. Aromas was sweet rye malts with slight floral hops, no yeasts present. Taste was sweet rye malts upfront with slight hop backbone.Palate was smooth creamy carbonation with a balanced malty and hop average finish.Brewfest@Lake Las Vegas3/9/2012

Sampled at the AZ Strong Beer Fest. Nice dark amber with ruby highlights and eggshell head. Caramel malt, toffee, brown sugar, and vanilla with a touch of citrusy hops. Medium mouthfeel.

This beer wasn’t bad, but mixed in with all the monsters I drank at the Big Dog’s Winterfest, it just didn’t fit in right. (and the monsters definitely got me...had at least one too many). :) I found that this smelled better than it tasted to me. Pretty malty as you’d expect. I probably need to have this again on it’s own for a true fair shake.
