A deep mahogany colored brew, rich with caramel malts and a hint of English hops. This is a well-balanced beer with notes of toffee and toasted malt.

Tap at cafe. Dark amber in color. Bready malt character. Only a little bit of bitterness. Very average.

Sample at the Rancho Dr brewpub. This beer is a dark reddish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily. Thin sheets of lace slide down the glass quickly. Mild caramel malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture, and flavors of bready malt, caramel and light hops and nuts in the background. The finish is sweet with malt lingering for a bit. Barely average overall.

12-1-07 tap. <br /> Clear reddish brown pour. Some dough and honey in the aroma. Medicinal flavor and finish. Almost chalky on the palate. Not very good.

Clear light maroon pour. Smell is sweet sticky malt with a dull sweetness in the flavor. Mild bitterness with almost a toasty nuttiness to it as well. This was decent.
