2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery. Clear amber body with a minimal white head. Hard to get much of aroma in this smokey room, but there is some caramel notes. Taste is toasted grain, bread, nutshells and an odd flavor (olive tapenade). Thin and dry with medium carbonation.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
dark copper brown pour with a thin off white head.
it smells a bit sweet... toffee, malt and strawberries.
the palate is a bit sugary but surprisingly good... caramel malty, toffee, biscuit, grassy, earthy hops and a dry alcoholic finish... the abv% is not unpleasant, it is just noticeable and thinning. .
the medium body is crisp and soft due to ample carbonation. 5/3/7/3/12/3.0

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample at the Rancho Dr brewpub. This beer is a dark reddish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily. Thin sheets of lace slide down the glass quickly. Mild caramel malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture, and flavors of bready malt, caramel and light hops and nuts in the background. The finish is sweet with malt lingering for a bit. Barely average overall.
