A deep mahogany colored brew, rich with caramel malts and a hint of English hops. This is a well-balanced beer with notes of toffee and toasted malt.

On tap at the Draft House. Served a dark amber color with a small head and some lacing. Mild aroma of caramel sweetness, fresh grain and a hint of citrus. Flavor of some caramel sweetness, fresh grain with a mild bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly light body, crisp and clean. Easy drinker, good for a few. Fits well with watching sports.

From bottle at Freakin’ Frog. Reddish brown color. Grassy aroma. Nice hoppy profile on the flavor. Finishes easily on the palate.

Pretty red color from the caramel malts. Noble hop character balances well. Toffee and caramel flavor finishes with a bitter hop taste.

Pours a deep brown color with a caramel, roasted malt aroma. Taste is bitter, hint of toffee, with a smooth finish. A good beer, more like a brown ale than an Irish ale. Overall, a complex tasting beer that was easy drinking.

Clear reddish brown pour. Some dough and honey in the aroma. Medicinal flavor and finish. Almost chalky on the palate. Not very good.

Bottle from a grocery store in Vegas. Poured a brown color with a decent amount of head. Tastes almost identical to a Newcastle, but a little more full bodied. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear amber/dark copper. Very little head with some lacing. Not much aroma but there is some malt in the nose. Malty taste. Thin in body. Slighty creamy in texture with a watery finish.

Wittales (742) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - NOV 27, 2012
Appearance was clear reddish brown with creamy lasting tannish 3 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are raoasted caramel malts, deep fruits of date, fig, raisin and cherry. Taste are roasty, toasty ryeish sweet malts with hints of spicey hops. Palate is soft smooth creamy CO2 with meduim body, then average length smooth clean rye malty finish. A good Irish ale... good local brew for style.
