On tap at the brewpub. This has a nice brownish orange translucent appearance. Small head sits on top, and makes this look fairly decent. The aroma is quite nice -- I’m getting cinnamon and a little nutmeg. The funny thing is is that this beer has a slight sour aroma, which is quite nice because its compliments the cinnamon quite well. I don’t know if this is an infection problem, but I don’t care because that subtle sourness is great. The flavor is great, again, because of the sour flavor. The pumpkin pie flavor really kicks in when you taste it, and not so much when you’re sniffing the damn thing. The cinnamon and nutmeg blend well with the sour flavor, and the beer leaves a nice slick lasting texture on your tongue. I’ve tried some sour pumpkin beers, and I don’t think this is supposed to be sour, but the amount of sweetness that blends with the subtle sour flavor makes this beer pretty damn good.

Nose is full of spice. Cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanilla and underlying sweetness. Smells nice actually. Pours orange amber decent head, light lace. The flavor is sweet and spicy. Lots of cinnamon and nutmeg. vanilla comes through as well as some caramel and pie crust. Almost like a pumpkin ale of sorts. Decent carbonation. Drinks nicely with a lingering sweetness.

Draft at the brewery. Medium caramel/amber. Essentially headless and laceless by the time I got it to the table (I should just write a macro for that phrase since it’s true of all the beers of their I tried that night). Little on the nose other than caramel. Medium attack with a little splash of spicy flavor to start; medium body and carb. Coriander and nutmeg (as well as a little pie spice) roll off the finish and down. Nice, flavorful, seasonally appropriate beer.

Draft at the brewpub. Spicy sweet aroma. Pours a clear dark amber with a thin off-white head. Creamy medium body. Creamy sweet caramel taste that gets dry character from the spices.

Draught Dark hazy amber; no head. Spices (not identifiable), bread, sweet but rather honey-ish sweet - say honey bread. Sweet potatoes taste, cooked vegetables, licorice and malt. Medium to well bodied. Strange, not overly spicey but a bit weird and IMO not really attractive. Beer was very popular at the brewpub, so it’s only my opinion.
