On draught at the brewery taproom in Lynnwood, Washington. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a creamy white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet white bread dough, a touch of butter, and some citrus zest. Taste is light bodied, some carbonation with flavors of bread dough, some light fruity pear and a touch of grassy and citrus hops. Finish is crisp with a light bitterness that quickly disappears to a clean cut aftertaste.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 after4ever (4500) - Brier, Washington, USA - FEB 5, 2011
Draft at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with a bright white creamy disc on top. Pleasant nutty, corny, grassy nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Corn, nuts, and grass on the mid-palate, with a mild herbal finish. Easy drinking and made well enough. The corn note, deliberate or not, is a tad troubling, but otherwise a nice pleasant light yellow lager.
