3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, - JUN 18, 2006
Hazy blonde colour. Sulphury nose with heavy crust-of-Italian-bread pale malts. Quite bitter, lemony even, very crisp. Pale malt sweetness really only becomes apparent in the finish, kind of the reverse of a normal pilsner structure. Quite different, but has enough bitterness to keep me interested.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a crystal clear pale gold with a nice light creamy film on top. Grassy, nutty nose. Decent sheets of lace. Creamy medium body--feels a bit like an odd choice of yeast. Could be much crisper, really. Some butter shows up on the mid-palate. A little tangy. Nice peppery, grassy hop on the finish.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheSponge (341) - Lynnwood, Washington, USA - MAY 1, 2009
UPDATED: JUN 16, 2009 Poured from a growler purchased at the brewery earlier today. Pours a beautiful golden color with a white foamy head. Flavor: Some grassy notes, slightly bitter, finishes clean...perfect for a warm day like today.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JorisPPattyn (6725) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - APR 18, 2006
Draught Real bright gold; disparate white head. Some off-aroma, tad like cooked vegetable, but not DMS; ureum, bit sweet. Sweet-spicey taste, has a grassy superposed flavour like a "herb" from Germany - if it only weren’t so sweet. Bit sticky, light to medium bodied. Advice: keep to the Eles - sorry, ales.
