On Tap at the brewpub. Deep dark brown with a full tan head. Light roated aromas and some sweet carmelized malts. Lightly roasted flavor as well, and a slightly sweet note that takes the edge off of that typical sour porter flavor. Not bad, a little timid.

Brown color with tan foam. Roasty malt ,chocolate aromas. smooth mouthfeel. Dark roasted malt, chocolate, medium roast coffee flavors. Burnt bitter finish.

Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small off-white head. Roasted malty chocolate and coffee aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor. Roasted malty warming finish with hints of chocolate in the aftertaste.

Coke colored with small beige head.Light mocha nose.Somewhat sweet, ok but lacks roastiness

On draught at the brewery taproom in Lynnwood, Washington. Pours an opaque reddish brown brew with a creamy beige head that quickly dissipates to a thin film top and a creamy beige ring with some spotty lacing. Aroma of smoked pork, dark chocolate, toasted dark malt and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is smooth, creamy with flavors of toasted dark malt, chocolate, a touch of cola and some roasted nuts. Finish is semi-sweet, a little metallic with a little brown sugar and smoked pork aftertaste. The smoked flavor is a nice touch to this excellent porter.

On tap at WABL Fathers Day BrewFest 2008. Pours hazy dark ruddy brown with an off-white ring of foam. Medium body & light carbonation. Soft chocolate and pine nose, lightly sweet brown sugar and roasted nut taste, brisk chocolate and pine finish.
