On tap at the brewery/brewpub. Pours clear mahogany with light tan head. The aroma has notes of dark fruitiness and maybe light earthiness. The taste starts a touch biscuity or maybe Melanoidin followed by some caramel malt notes, figs, prunes and some cherries. Nice soft body folding in the sweetness. This one has grown on me the more I drink with a bit of caramel candy showing up from time to time.

Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 2, 2008
On draught at the brewery taproom in Lynnwood, Washington. Pours a clear dark copper amber brew with a thick and creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, candi sugar, some cotton candy and a touch of raisin. Taste is full bodied, very light carbonation with flavors of sweet caramel malt, a touch of chocolate and toffee. Finish remains sweet, quite malty grain flavor with no bitterness though some flowery hops comes through. One of the sweeter Scotch Ales I’ve tried.
