Leighton (7183) - London, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2013
Bottle shared in NH. Pours clear, rich brown with a fine, tan cream head. Some vanilla on the nose, light burnt oak, hints of cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with light alcohol, more vanilla, milk chocolate. Medium to full bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with plenty of lingering vanilla, mellow earthy bitterness, milk chocolate. Nice stuff. A bit more character in the barrel aged version than the regular Gerry Dog.

Bottle shared by Leighton at RBWG. Nose is oaky, wood, chalky, light butterscotch, ashy roast. Flavor is similar with a light bloody/metal note. Meh.

Almost black with brown hues. No head Lots of charred oak and vanilla with some smoke and maltinesss Taste is loaded with chocolate and vanilla. Hint of charcoal and tobacco. Very light and drinkable. The oak is not dominating
