2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
For the price (11.50/case in Austin) you canít really complain. This lightly sweet lager wonít win any awards, aside from low price champion, but is pretty much perfect for any occasion that cheap beer is needed. For the money Iíd get this over pabst, the beast, etc.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours crystal clear light yellow with medium carbonation. Aromas of grain, light grassy hops, slight hint of skunkiness. Flavors of light grain, and slight grassy hops. Leaves an unpleasent sweet grain aftertaste. A good cheap beer to buy to kill off sluges in the garden. I think they will like this more than I do.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear, pale yellow with a surprisingly resilient foamy white head and substantial lacing. Aroma of sweet grains and some citrus. Taste is the same. Light bodied. Wow. I was laughing as I bought this at Walgreens for .50 a can, but Iím actually impressed. There arenít any unpleasant flavors or aftertastes. This will be great for yard work or beach day. I can hardly believe it. Cheaper than most macros that Iím familiar with, and much better.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
...for how cheap it was, it was impressive. At least it had some kind of decent cereal flavor, much better than bud or busch, and way cheaper. Got some when I was up in Jacksonville, walgreens, hahahaa.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz can one of a sixer from Walgreens,S.Salem. $2.99 a six
Not gonna worry about pouring, colour .
Aroma is almost absent..little paper,cereal..thats sometimes a good thing when doing cheap lagers.
Taste is light cereal, slightly sweet, comparatively pleasant really.
Light and dry mouthfeel make this one poundable.
Overall not that bad at all..not too sweet, dry and drinkable..good yard work beer

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2012 Tried this side by side with Budweiser and its a slight step up. A little more taste, a little less watery, and a much better aftertaste. Only time I will drink this though is when playing drinking games.

Can poured into a pint glass. Pours a crystal-clear pale gold with a thin white head capping it off. This pops and fizzles away to nothing quickly. No lace left behind. The nose is slightly skunky, with scents of lemon cleaner and musty hay. The mouth is very bubbly and crisp, albeit thin. Not unexpected though. There actually is a small amount of flavor here, some buttered corn, grass, with a sweet finish. Iíve had worse Adjunct Lagers for sure. I didnít hate this. In fact, I could see myself drinking this again.

Can:   Straw in color, a hint of fire, clear, moderate frothy white head, little lacing.   Moderate corny and mealy aroma.   A bit more crisp on the tongue, thankfully, and no so mealy or corny.   Just donít try and smell this one before sipping.   Comes across as very clean, sweet straw and hay.   The corniness and mealy aspect isnít too strong.   Not a beer I would drink again unless offered, but its less offensive than any macro and at $0.50 a can, not a bad at all.

Ran into this at Walgreens in Fairlawn, OH. had my doubts but for $379 a six had to try it. Surprised and not disappointed, how could I be at that price? Should wait until the morning to rate expecting the worst, but happy right now. Some flavor in a can. Did I mention the price?

As someone stated earlier, this really could pass for Old Style. And thatís nothing to sneeze at. The total score I received was 2.8, but that is deceptive.
Iím basing this against brews which I would normally purchase in the same category such as the aforementioned Old Style, Blatz, Schlitz (at least before they restored the original formula), PBR, etc...
However, I can drink this beer as readily as a Bass or Bellís. Sometimes I really just want something like this to relax in front of a movie or grill out. Donít hesitate to try it. Itís not as though Walgreenís employees are whipping it up in the stores. Itís a Genesee product at the same price as regular Genesee.
