Notes of caramel in the aroma but none in the taste, which is decently hopped and has a nice grapefruit flavor. Oily palate but quite carbonated. Very refreshing. It’s an okay summer brew, especially since I don’t need to go too far out of my way to get it. AdamGott (190), Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 15, 2006 Picked up a six pack of this on a recent trip to West Yellowstone, MT. Average in all respects - flavor, hops, aroma. Average isn’t bad but it isn’t anything special either. Nice hop bitterness profile, not much in the aroma hops department but this is true to style.
I did have one bottle that was near flat and it had a much better flavor profile. This beer would do well as a lower carbonation cask ale. KingofCastle (202), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 8, 2006 bottle: thanks to Lord B for this one! Had a noticeable caramel or toffee aroma which sadly did not come through in the taste. Medium body with too bitter a mouthfeel & finish for my liking. I’ll take a Mill Street Stock Ale anyday for fresh flavour bursting through. Hops outbalance the malts a little bit here but still well crafted ok smooth finish, and better than most ales available. St. Peter’s Organic or Fuller’s London Pride are smoother and more flavourful. Their Munich style Lager is better balanced & has more flavour. LordBeamish (144), Boozetown, Ontario, Canada

A nice spicy , fruity and caramel aroma. Lot’s of flavour in this one including citrus, spices, and hops. Finishes relatively smooth. Very nice and drinkable. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 28, 2006 Bottle. 650ml. Pours a clear amber without much head. Nose has light hop notes. Bitter almost from the beginning to the finish. There was no crescendo in this brew, just a one dimensional taste throughout. Would have enjoyed a bit more going on with this one. The malts struggle to be heard, but maybe all you got from them was a faint whisper. Thanks to Blankboy for the bottle.
