Commercial Description:
Brewed by Wellington County for the Ontario market.
Headstrong Pale Ale, inspired by the legacy of authentic British pale ales, is crafted with imported British grains, a special strain of British yeast, and hopped with prime Kent hops for a floral hop aroma, rich texture, and well balanced malt finish.

Bottle: Two fingers of fluffy beige head atop a pure copper colored pour. Aroma is mild with malty sweetness, caramel, candied sugar, faint citrus, and light florals. Flavor is malty, a bit earthy, bready, and lighter in the floral hops. Some lingering bitters in the tail.

bottle: Pours a nice rich amber colour with a small, slightly creamy head. A nice spicy , fruity and caramel aroma. Lot’s of flavour in this one including citrus, spices, and hops. Finishes relatively smooth. Very nice and drinkable.

Bottle: Pours a beautiful amber color with no head. Notes of caramel in the aroma but none in the taste, which is decently hopped and has a nice grapefruit flavor. Oily palate but quite carbonated. Very refreshing. It’s an okay summer brew, especially since I don’t need to go too far out of my way to get it.

can: browny copper colour, some citrus aroma. Surprised by the carbonation, but it doesn’t ruin it. Good mild hops.

Amber color with a malty nose and lots of bubbles. Very fizzy on my tounge. Very malty sweet beer with only a subtle hop bitterness in the finish. Good drinking but uninteresting.

Bottle from the <a href=http://www.lcbo.com target=blank>LCBO in Toronto. Deep amber in colour, thin off-white head, some lace, vigorous bubbles. The aroma is malty (bready, some cookies), grains, earthy with a touch of caramel. The flavour is of light caramel malts, some bread, toasty, light cirtus hops, slightly sweet. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a lingering hop bitterness, slightly dry.

This brew pours a small head of fine to medium sized white bubbles and a transparent amber body. It has a nice malt hop caramel aroma. It has an initial hop bite that later settles with a flavor of overpowering hops and some mild roasted malt notes.

Very flavorful pale ale is dominated by the maltiness, but the malt flavor is only moderately pleasing; Mild hops bitterness has presence from start to finish, but while the beer is malty at first, the finish is much more balanced; Has a sweet aroma that is vaguely reminiscent of whiskey; Amber in color and slightly hazy; Significant carbonation bubbles initially completely cease within a minute or two; Large, tan head dissipates fairly quickly but leaves lacing that is dense with large holes like swiss cheese
