Commercial Description:
Brewed by Wellington County for the Ontario market.
Headstrong Pale Ale, inspired by the legacy of authentic British pale ales, is crafted with imported British grains, a special strain of British yeast, and hopped with prime Kent hops for a floral hop aroma, rich texture, and well balanced malt finish.

from the bottle. poured a light copper with beige head with lots and I mean lots of floaties. aroma nice blend of malts and hops with neither being more pronouced than the other, honey and sugar, earthy, citrus, and as it warmed some sourness. flavor, a nice sweet maltness, with a bitterness that was pleasing , grapefruit, and than the honey shows up. good beer

Bottle - 650ml. Nice amber body topped with a thick off-white foamy head. Good hoppy nose with roasty and spicy hints. Taste may lack some strenght and complexity, but it ends with a lovely long bitter finish. Less than one week after moving to the Ottawa area, this is my first step into Ontario’s micro-brewing world and it just makes me looking forward for more!

Bottle: Very malty aroma that is loaded with buttered caramel and only light hops. Pours a very hazy dark amber with a small white head. Malty up front with a light hop finish. Caramel constantly lingers in the background from start to finish. Because of so much malt, this beer needs a stronger hop balance to it.

pours a hazy amber, full of particals. head dimished quickly and lacing remained decent. aroma is slightly hoppy with grassy overtones. fairly malty in taste, a little light on hops to be balanced for my palate. still a very tastey brew, better than i expected.

473ml can, 5.5% a/v Pours a light copper colour with a very generous tan head. The nose of this beer is largely citrusy hops with some very slight brown sugar notes. The taste is immediately hoppy which stays that way for awhile then peters out into a nice smooth caramel finish. Very good beer, with a nice mouthfeel.

On tap at Smokeless Joes. Appearance: Ruby red, some visible carbonation, small off white head. Aroma: some initial caramel with a hint of hops, cherries and a little yeast. Flavour: initially dry but with a hop forward character, tangy malt and some pine resin. Long bitter sweet finish.
